Skagway Alaska is still one of my favorite Alaska towns.

Skagway Alaska is still one of my favorite Alaska towns.

The historic White Pass Railroad out of Skagway is a must do trip if you are ever in the area. (more…)

Wow, I can’t believe how lucky and fortnate I was just to see such a rare animal, much less capture a photo! (more…)

Part of being a travel photographer is documenting the type of activities a visitor to a particular location might participate in during thier travels. (more…)

Janine kayaking in front of Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau, Alaska. Is is great having my top model here!

About 75 feet into the glacier cave from where Janine was yesterday (hard to judge scale in such an environment) the stream flows into this large pool of water inside the middle of the glacier! What an amazing site, like nothing I have ever seen. A photo can’t begin to do this justice, the sounds, the cool breeze in the cave, the dripping water from the roof, the erie sounds, none of that comes through in a photo. (more…)

This is a beach not far out the road from Juneau, last night just as it began to rain. It has rained hard all day today, but I’m still excited as Janine is arriving shortly to join me for a week here in Juneau and in Skagway!

Fishing boats in the Ketchikan boat harbor early on a foggy morning.

Another totem pole at the Totem Bight Historical State Park, Ketchikan, Alaska.

Ketchikan Alaska receives on average 12.5 feet of rain a year! Just seeing the sun is a treat here, a sunset is a double bonus! I leave this evening for a 24 hour boat ride to Juneau.

An alert customer of ours spotted this photo on the cover of the Alaska section of the Anchorage Daily news today. It was promoting a page of photos supplied by readers. The photo was provided courtesy of Bob Armond! I’m glad she emailed - with me on the road I might have missed it. (more…)

The Totem Bight State Historical Park is a very nice park just a few miles out the road from Ketchikan. (more…)

When I think of Ketchikan, I think of cruise ships and jewelry stores, so I thought this reflection of a ship in the window of a jewelry store summed up the town pretty well. (more…)

The Chilkoot River is a beautiful spot near Haines, Alaska. (more…)

Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska. (more…)

I know what you are thinking; everyone knows these are photos of the Tatshenshini-Alsek Wilderness Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada - LOL. Kidding of course. (more…)

Wow, what a great couple of days - I don’t even know where to start - well you can’t go wrong with a big sow Grizzly and cub! (more…)

Here are three more Chugach National Forest posters. (more…)

It is always fun to get samples of our photos in use. (more…)
