Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Yesterday we left Reno and came up to Lake Tahoe for a few days. We had a snowstorm overnight, but today, a beautiful evening. I spent at least an hour shooting this stretch of shoreline with amazing boulders - the compositions were endless.

Virginia City, Nevada.
I have been fortunate to visit some really fascinating, historic gold rush towns in the last few months including the Klondike Gold Rush towns of Skagway, Alaska and Dawson City, Yukon. I must say, Virginia City, Nevada was as interesting and enjoyable as any of them - I was pleasantly surprised. (more…)

Now this is my kind of viewpoint! Unlike yesterday’s post - here I was the only person within at least 3/4 a mile. Just me, the crisp fall breeze, and the distant bugle of an elk. Perfect.
