2010 Alaska Wildlands Calendar

I have tried to keep the shameless self promotion to a minimum, but I have always kinda liked this photo of Harriman Glacier in the Chugach National Forest, so I was excited to have it selected for the cover of next years calendar.

I believe these are available at most National Park visitor centers in Alaska.  Here are some more Chugach National Forest photos.

It doesn’t get any better than this photograph Ron. Great job.

How much polypropylene were you wearing when you took the shot?

Dan Kehlenbach September 1, 2009 at 7:17 am

Congrats Ron. The lighting and composition is beautiful. I picked up a copy of “Stirring the Senses” while my family took a cruise with Kenai Fjords last week. Phenomenal work in there as well!!

Congratulations. It’s a great photo. How did you get all the detail in the shadows while keeping the light in the bg?

Heck, Ron, you should be proud. Awesome image!

Hey, thanks a lot everyone!

Michael – I’m sure I had a fair amount of polypropylene along with a shell, although it wasn’t as cold as it looked believe it or not.

Thanks Dan – I really liked how Stirring the Senses turned out.

Good question Scott, I used a three stop graduated neutral density filter like I did here: http://www.my-photo-blog.com/graduated-neutral-density-filters
