Antarctica Sunset

Sunset was around 11:30 at night this close to the Antarctic Circle.  This was from Booth Island.

Ron, another great shot. One thing that has struck me about the images you’ve shared is how flat the ocean is. Were both taken in a protected cove, inlet, bay, fjord, etc?

Good observation. This was in a protected area on a calm day. Most days were very calm with flat seas, but we had a few days with hard winds and rough seas. Everything was so much easier on the calm days – I didn’t take too many photos on the rough days.
