Anza Borrego Badlands

Sunset last night at the Anza Borrego State Park Badlands, Southern California.

This is a interesting location, and it was a treat to have some clouds to light up right at sunset.  I went back to the same area this morning and had more clouds, and even a better sunrise – those images are still in my camera.

This is such an amazing picture!
I am planning on heading to Anza Borrego this weekend to do some photography and hikes. Would you mind giving me some suggestions on nice scenic spots. I’ll be in the area for 2 days before I head out again.

Hi Sandra,

This is Font’s Point – I would put that on your list for sure. A high clearance vehicle would be preferred as there is some soft sand on the way there.

If you have a short trip, the other place I would go is Palm Canyon. A neat desert stream and good chance to see sheep make it a great place. Have fun!
