Back to Borrego

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.

Sunrise this morning in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.

Anza-Borrego looks better now then it did a month ago when we left!  Many of the wildflowers have come and gone, but there are still lots of flowers in full-bloom, especially the cactus.  Speaking of cactus, the Ocotillo are now blooming through out the park and look as good as I have ever seen them – they are just brillent red.

We have stopped here just briefly to pack / ship / clean / winterize / and store our trailer and gear and then begin the journey home.   It has been an awesome trip, but it will be nice to be back in Alaska and sleeping in our own bed.  My next post will be Monday – from Alaska!

Love the ocotillo. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do well up here in Sedona.

I’m looking forard to a nice shot out your front door! Have a good trip back.

Nice to see there are still some flowers in Anza, great shot. I’m also on my way home after a very successful trip.

Great photo, Ron; beautiful lighting and color. Thank you again for the workshop in Borrego Springs last month! We had a wonderful time and learned a lot!

Have a safe trip back home.

Very nice image Ron. It’s a very late year this year for that area, but at least you got a second dose of nice scenery there. I drove through Antelope Valley today and it’s a late year there too – but the flowers out out strong now though, as are (as my wife calls them) the Poppy Killing People who walk, lounge on, and otherwise abuse them by not being careful what they trample. I’d guess you don’t have the time, but if you did, I’d recommend dropping by there.

Made it home!

Thanks Noella!

Funny you say that Joni – I was hoping to post such a photo, but unfortunately it is raining with low clouds.

Thanks Alan – Judging from you blog, you had a great trip.

Thanks Rick!

Thanks for the tip John, but I’m going to have to miss it this year.

Ron,
What a great shot. I just returned from the desert also (Colorado River area). I saw the same blooming plants, but your picture captures them in a wonderful light. Nice work!
