This would have to be the best photo I have seen taken in Vegas! The water is alive and dancing in the photo, just like when standing there, and the colours are beautiful. I love this blog!

Best wishes from Perth, Western Australia!

Hi Joni,

I rarely see people in the parts of Valley of Fire I like, so I won't let that discourage me. Thanks Joni!

The Valley of Fire's proximity to Vegas make it an easy place of access for photo tours, but please don't let that discourage you from taking lots of photos there. Your early morning and late evening preferences may reduce the likelihood of crowds too.

Hi Jeff,

I know exactly what you are saying. I hear Bosque is amazing, but one of the reasons I have never visited are because of stories like yours about the huge crowds. My last visit to Sedona was disappointing thanks to the traffic and crowds.

On one hand, I have the same concerns for Valley of Fire, but on the other hand, it is a beautiful, quite place - one that I love the photograph. Although I just picked up some assignment work and may not have time to make it there on this trip.

Thanks Jeff,

Ron

Beautiful shot of Caesar's, but the should pay Bellagio a commission for the use of their fountains in this shot :)

I'm really hoping you'll keep coverage of the Valley of Fire to a minimum. It's one of the last holdouts in the west that isn't full of photographers, please help to keep it that way! Places like Bosque del Apache are no longer worth visiting because the photographers now come in by the busload. How tragic (for the wildlife, especially). They will have to put in bleachers soon, just to accommodate the photographers--and that's not a joke. It's not the individual traveling shooters that ruin a place, that will never be a problem and that's why the parks are there, but once the workshops think a place is hot or a big travel magazine writes about it, that's the end of it.

Twenty years ago who would have thought pretty little Sedona would be one big strip mall-and that is EXACTLY what it has become. (They should have made it a national park when they had the chance.) Of course, if you're looking for a crystal Zodiac pin, well, Sedona is the place to go. And you can always use Photoshop to take the pink jeeps out of the wilderness shots.

Your photos are amazing Ron, they just seem to get better and better!

I was watching the Las Vegas tv show earlier. I have been to Vegas three times, all before I got into photography. I can not wait to get back. Great job by the way.

Love it. There's something about Vegas that just begs to be photographed. Very nice. Can't wait to see Valley of Fire!
