Typically we process all the photos from a trip in one big group, but this time we decided to do our Canadian photos in one batch, and then the rest of the trip in a second batch. Because of this, we now have a new section on our website of Vancouver photos.
Alaska Railroad
This is the same night (Wednesday) as yesterday’s post, but a different train. It is a bit unusual to see two trains in Seward during the winter.
As an interesting side note, the Alaska Railroad train in yesterday’s post was caught in an avalanche which knocked a few of the cars of the track. Fortunately no one was hurt, the cargo was non hazardous.
Eagle Landing
I found a couple of eagles feeding on some kind of carcass someone had dragged into the nearby trees; it was too far consumed to be recognized. I didn’t expect this one to land so close, I was barely able to keep it’s wings in the frame. Check out more bald eagle photos.
Bald Eagle
This was from yesterday near Seward. Bald Eagles have always been one of my favorite subjects.
Little Bull Moose
This guy was hanging right in town. It isn’t evident in this wide-angle photo, but you could still see where his antlers had been attached to his head.
We have lots more moose photos
How I Became a Bold and Beautiful Star!
Well I’m sure that title got your attention, and my friends are probably laughing and rolling their eyes – I better quickly explain.
Evidently, CBS has a daytime TV show entitled The Bold and Beautiful. It was explained to us that one of the characters on the show is this guy who does a lot of adventure travel. Well, CBS contacted us last week and purchased 7 prints of adventure activities to decorate the set that will make up this characters office. These pictures will appear to be personal photos of the character during his travels and adventures. The photo of me above is one of the seven. So star is a big exaggeration – but someday, somewhere, a photo of me just might be visible on the Bold and Beautiful. lol
