We made it back to Alaska safe and sound, it is great to be home! I was hoping to post a new Alaska photo, but rain and ugly weather discouraged that so I thought I would do just a little bit of shameless self promotion.
This was in the mail when we came home – I captured this photo back in a trip in 2008 and I thought it looked pretty cool on the cover of the March issue of County Extra!

Rubert and Elma,
I don’t have anything to do with the magazine, I would try contacting the Country Magazine directly.
Good luck,
Ron
Reading my July issue of Country Extra, there is a picture on page 55 of a threshing crew,
submitted by Shirley Tietz . I have wrote 2 letters to her, both returned because of non
complete address. My dad was born in Leroy and his folks were farmers there ,so I’m sure we knew each other . I was born in the Mayville area and was sent to family in Washington st.
after my mom died in a car accident in 1950 . I would like to find out more about things and photos if your interested ,my dad passed on in 05 at 94 so I heard a lot of stories. can anyone help me get a address or email? Iassume the magazine must know or can find out
