Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu at the WPT Festa al Lago Tounament, Bellagio, Las Vegas.

Daniel staring down an opponent during a hand. If I had to pick, Daniel would be my favorite player as he looks like he is always having a great time at the tables, laughing and joking with the other players – while usually winning!

If you remember my Phil Ivey post, you will know my last attempt to cover one of these World Poker Tournaments wasn’t very successful. This time we made the arrangements to get the necessary credentials in advance.

By the way, Daniel was the chip leader at the end of day two, but was eliminated just in the money on day 3.

Hey Ron,

Pretty cool – shouldn’t he be drinkin’ whiskey?

How’d you keep Janine away from the tables?

Cheers

Carl

Yeah, drinkin’ whiskey and firing his 6 shooter! That would have been better.

We will probably hit the tables a little bit after the weekend, before we had home.

Thanks,

Ron

Great shots Ron. I have the PS2 game, Stacked. Seems like an enthusiastic guy like you said.

coincidentally, I played Hold em at San Manuel casino yesterday for the first time. I was nervous at first but calmed down after I lost $80 on the first table… Won $27 on the 2nd. and lost $4 on the third. My brother could have won our table the $18,500 jackpot when we first got there but had tossed out the winning card before the Flop. The entire room was gathered around our table for that hand. My cousin and the guy next to him had Full Houses, while there were 3 Aces on the table. Since my bro had an Ace and a 3 and was the first to go in that round, he never bet! No way we could have known but it is nice to imagine!

It was fun though I think I’ll stay away from the casinos for a while. :-)

HI Richard,

O wow, I feel your bro’s pain! That reminds me of a final table of the Main Even a few years ago where they are playing for millions – a guy folded an ace, and then three showed in in a giant hand.

Sounds like you did well for your first time – it is a bit intimidating when you first sit down!

Thanks,

Ron
