Hi Mike,

Thanks for the comment!

My name is Dutch, but my family has been in the U.S. for many generations - so I don't know the details of my ancestry.

I checked out your blog - looks like you are off to a great start!

Hey Ron,
What a great shot. Perfect in everyway. It has a soft quiet mood with bold color and the lines are placed perfectly. Can't wait to see more!

Hi Bert,

Thanks for the kind words - I think you will get a kick out of Slab City.

Kim Heacox is an excellent writer - I believe I have a book or two of his on Denali.

I look forward into running into you again one day.

Thanks Dennis!

Hi John, Desert lilies area cool wildflowers. You shouldn't have any problem finding them this year. I saw a number of them just west of the Pegleg "campground" not far off the road - they should be blooming within a few weeks. In fact last year there were some right next to the Henderson Canyon road near that same area.

I agree Michael!

Ron, we talked yesterday about several Alaskan authors and I could not remember one, Kim Heacox, who wrote an excellent book entitled The Last Kayak. (Didn't have the title right either.) I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your wonderful photographs enabled me to convince my wife that when we leave Anza Borrego that we should proceed on to Slab City. Thanks, too, for the advice on kayaking Glacier Bay.
Hope to run into you again!
