Fishing boats in the Ketchikan boat harbor early on a foggy morning. Here are many more Ketchikan photos.

wow. I like that subtle framing depth layer going on. I didn’t see the boats in the back initially.
I love shots like this (ie. a distant object in the fog). Reminds me a bit of William Neill’s recent shot in OP using a tree in the foreground, and a tree in the back in fog. Well done and well seen Ron.
Thanks a lot guys! I will have to look for Neill’s shot when I get home – I really like his photography.

Its the subtle components of this photo that make it special for me. The faint shapes of the other boats really add a great dimension to the image. Very neat shot Ron.
I can smell and feel this scene. Wood soaked in fish guts and salt water, rusty metal, and the chill of the moist fog. Great scene Ron!
Thanks guys – I appreciate the comments!
Svein-Frode, I imagine this isn’t too different then what you might find in your part of the world as well.

I see scenes like this in Tarpon Spring, FL when the shrimp boat travel in and out early mornings.
