I can’t visit Fountain Hills, Arizona and not photograph the World’s largest fountain! The last light of sun is illuminating the top half of this impressive fountain.
This fountain can reach a height of 560 feet – higher then the Washington Monument! Typically it reaches about 330 feet because the City only uses two the the three 600 hp pumps, saving one as a backup. The fountain nozzle weighs over a ton and is feed by an 18 inch waterline. It has been in operation for just over 36 years and was originally constructed at a cost of $1.5 million.
