Frozen Waterfall

Frozen Waterfall

Frozen waterfall, Seward, Alaska.

I ran by this waterfall in town a few days ago and noticed it was starting to look pretty nice thanks to our recent cold spell, but then I forgot about it.  I owe local truck driver Bob Valdatta a big thank you for giving me a call and heads up on the waterfall today.  He said it looked as good as he had ever seen it, and he was right!  There are so many cool photo possibilities right there.

By the way, we are forecasted to get at least a foot of snow thanks to an incoming storm.  I hope they are right!

Wow – I could get hung up shooting that scene for hours, or days! I’m sure you will! Looking forward to seeing more shots of this!

Maybe you should take up Ice Climbing, if you haven’t already. You could get inside all those nooks and crannies!

Hey Ron,

When’s the snow forecast for? Today?

Cheers

Thanks Sherri!

I don’t know if I’m up for Ice Climbing – I bet it is a lot of fun.

Hi Carl,

Yeah, that was for last night and today. We got a nice 4 inches of powder, but now it has cleared off and the wind is beginning to pick up. I guess that is all we are getting for now. I see our forecast shows snow or rain for the next few days, so maybe…

Hey Ron,

Bummer it wasn’t more, and that it won’t hang around – we got about a half inch.

Cheers

Hey, we received a nice half foot of snow over night, and it is still coming down pretty hard!

That looks very exotic Ron. I’m sure you will be climbing it eventually. Or at the least I’m sure you will convince Janine to do it. :-)

Thanks Richard.

You know I just checked on it – with the snow and warm weather, the thing has all but melted. Too bad.
