Hey MG,

Wow, bummer I missed you MG!

Interesting to get your take on AB - it looks so much better then last year and the year before, that it has me excited - although last year was so bad that even the green houses had turned brown. :) I was here a couple weeks later then this for the big bloom in 2005.

Let me know when you get back this way, it would be great to meet!

Hey Ron: man, I wish I had known! I was at Anza-Borrego this weekend! I'm sorry we've missed each other again, but I know you're down here for a while, so there's still chances for us to meet.

AB looked pretty dismal to me. Yeah, it's a little early still, but the green alone is a good indicator of things to come, and there just isn't enough of it to rival even a moderate year.

Have a great trip - I hope we can meet!

Hi Richard,

I didn't get out to see too much - I have seen photos of wildflowers from the very Southern portion of Joshua Tree, that is probably where I would go. The hills around Palm Springs were very green - same as you go North around Yucca Valley, but nothing blooming yet. It is warm today, hopefully that will help jump start things. It seems like things are later then 2005, probably because of the cool weather.

good to know Ron. i've been calling the hotline and they haven't updated the info with better news so I assumed the same thing as what you reported. I wonder how the Mojave is doing.
