Home Sweet Home!

Aerial of Seward, Alaska.
Well aside from the one to two feet of snow South-central Alaska received last Saturday, it is great to be home! I love that drive down the Seward Highway, through the mountains and along the coast - I think I counted five moose on the way home. I also love the fresh air, it hits you as soon as you step out of the airport terminal.
This photo was captured during summer a couple of years ago. Here are more Alaska photos.

Congratulations – you made it safe and sound. Now would you be so kind to treat us to some snow shots as it is forecasted to be 98-f today and I need to cool down a bit – if only visually.

Thanks Rick,
I am going to miss that warm weather! Although upper 90’s is getting a bit too warm for me - 80’s is perfect!

That is awesome to have that turquoise colored water Ron. I could use some clean air right now, been coughing since yesterday afternoon.

Hi Richard,
Sounds like there is at least one wildfire in your area - I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of those this year unfortunately.

Hey Ron,
Welcome home!
Does this mean we’ll start getting to see some wolf photos?
Cheers

So that’s your photo on the Milepost? Cool! The arial picture of Seward looks interesting. I love it. Somehow I thought it might be larger. But I would love to be there! The mountains in the background… Glad you made it safely!!

Thanks for the welcome home!
Carl, I hope it means more wolf photos, but no promises.
Thanks Mark - I think we owe you some more photos!
Thanks Beth. Yeah, Seward is pretty small, I think the population is about 4,000 - I like it that way. The population almost doubles the minute one of them cruise-ships pulls in!

Well Ron, somehow I don’t think an aerial view of where I live would be quite so impressive.
Looks like a great place to live.

I haven’t been to Seward in years. Last time I was in Alaska we drove down to Homer instead. Congrats on successfully completing your trip. Being back home is always a nice feeling. This photo reminds me I need to get some aerial work in sometime in the future. Aerial perspectives are always quite refreshing.

Thanks a lot Jim!
Next time you make it to Seward, be sure to let me know.
I agree, aerials do offer a unique perspective. Plus they are a lot of fun!
