Joshua Tree at sunset, Joshua Tree National Park, California.
I think the unique, graphical shapes of these trees just cries out to be used as a silhouette. Having a colorful sky was a bonus!

Why do I feel that nearly every night is a beautiful sunset wherever you travel? All I’m getting here in the northeast is clouds, clouds, clouds. Keep it up Ron!
beautiful shot! they really do have such a unique and interesting shape. I like the line of them along the horizon as well — each one with its own character.
Wonderful combination of form and color… Great background to “complete” the frame, as well!
Beautiful, I will have to add that place to my list
Thanks everyone!
You know Drew, I have had a bit of luck with sunsets recently, but I will be home soon where I’ll be lucky to get one a month, so I know how you feel!

They are such iconic plants they’re tough to resist. This photo reminds me of the classic Saguaro Cactus photos with magical southwest sunset skies. I really like the smaller silhouettes you’ve captured on the horizon. They’re a great touch to an already incredible image.
