Ketchikan sunset, rare sight!

Ketchikan Sunset

Ketchikan Alaska receives on average 12.5 feet of rain a year!  Just seeing the sun is a treat here, a sunset is a double bonus!  I leave this evening for a 24 hour boat ride to Juneau.  See more Ketchikan, Alaska photos.

Hey…we just got home from our long drive up the Highway, saw TONS of wildlife. Got stopped by a huge herd (100+) of buffalo outside of Muncho Lake and saw three grizzlies right along the road. The bears and the buffalo were almost too close for comfort! It was amazing!! Hope you are having a good trip so far…get your butt home soon so we can catch up! Have fun with J in Juneau. :)

Thanks Janine!

Hey, great to hear from you Tawny! Sounds like a great drive. Too bad you weren’t on the ferry this year – I could have seen you guys down, wouldn’t that have been fun. Glad you made it home in one piece, I look forward to hearing about your trip.

Ron
