Lake Tahoe, California

Lake Tahoe, California

Lake Tahoe, California.

This is from the California side of the lake, Emerald Bay to be exact.

I have had a fair amount of bad weather on this trip - where I have been all set up for sunrise or sunset and came away with nothing.  Of course, I’m only posting photos from the successful mornings / and evenings, and as far as sunrises go, this one was the best of the trip so far.

Here are more Lake Tahoe photos.

HI Ron:

I went to the movie last night called “Into The Wild” based on Jon Krakauer’s book about the story of Christopher McCandless as he traveled through the US to Alaska.

You’ll enjoy the scenery in the movie from the Grand Canyon, Anza Boreggo Desert State Park, Salton Sea, Palm Springs. Half of the movie was filmed in your backyard in Alaska.

Good luck with the weather.

Hi Michael,

I really want to see that movie, I loved the book. I had a friend help with some of the wildlife shooting in Alaska. I’m glad they actually filmed in Alaska – most films use Canada as a low cost substitute for Alaska.
