Las Vegas Strip, Nevada

The Las Vegas Strip at night, Nevada.
I get many emails from photographers coming to Alaska asking about what type of clothing they will need - boots, rain gear etc. Well to get this shot, I had to go out and get the proper clothing myself. Yes, now I a pair of dress shoes, slacks and a dress shirt just for these type of opportunities.
Here are more Las Vegas Photos.

Hi Ron:
I’m sure you have a full agenda while in Las Vegas. But you may want to find time to visit the 1.5 million acre Desert National Wildlife Refuge 23 mile north of LV on Highway 95. It is the 2nd largest wildlife refuge in the US. Click on the following link for information. http://www.fws.gov/desertcomplex/
In additional to Big Horn Sheep habitat, there is a nice Yucca grove about 10 miles in that is a nice photograph at sunrise with Mt. Charleston in the background. If you go to the Southwest/Nevada e-gallery at my web site you can see 2 images from there.
Good luck.

Let me guess, you went to a fancy restaurant at Mandalay Bay to take this shot? You’re such a chameleon Ron.

Thanks for the suggestion Michael. I have a book on hiking trails in Southern Nevada, and it showed some really nice areas in the Desert Wildlife Refuge. I had hoped to get over there but ran out of time. Now I have something to look forward to on my next trip. I’m on a dial up connection right now - I’ll have to check out this shots in a couple of days.
Pretty close guess Richard!
