A Least Sandpiper near Seward, Alaska.

A Least Sandpiper near Seward, Alaska.

This was from earlier this week – I liked how the sandpiper appeared to be checking out its reflection.

I wanted to thank everyone for all the constructive comments and emails I recived on the sandpiper blur image – lots of great insight, I really appreciate it!

Dang Ron
I feel so inadequate! :) Another great image Ron, love the reflection and blur – great pose and lighting. Nicely done. Did the bottom of your lens get wet? Looks like you were close to the surface!

Great crispy image and reflex… The mix of tones is very calm and natural… Congratulations!

This is really sweet Ron. I suppose going lower would mean an over/underwater shot. But there is an idea for you. I have never seen one of those done with shorebirds. :-)

Thanks a lot everyone!

Hey Dave – bottom of my lens didn’t get wet, but I sure was! I don’t think I could get any lower without it getting wet. Thanks man.

Hi Mark – that would be cool – bird above water, little feet below. :)
