More Tahoe rocks

Lake Tahoe

I had one nice morning and one nice evening at Lake Tahoe, the rest of the time was cloudy mixed with rain and some snow.  If I had more nice light – this spot is where I was going to photograph.

I found this rock formation on the south shore -  the previous rocky shoreline photos were shot up north.  Even though this doesn’t have the rich, warm light I’m usually attracted to, I kind of like the effect of the soft, overcast light.

Here are more Lake Tahoe photos.

The grayish color of the rocks matches well with the white sky. Quite cool actually. It’s hard to mess up a sunset, but even harder to do overcast well. Why is Tahoe written about in past tense? :-)

Hey that is a good question – and the subject of tomorrows post. Actually we dropped down to a place where we knew the weather would be nice – Las Vegas. I have some office work to do, so we will skip Moab and will stay here until we head to Zion.
