You know, I thought I was going to need two exposures to maintain detail in the moon. This frame was underexposed by one stop for the moon. I actually preferred the mountains in this darker version – I liked the mood created by the dark blue, so this ended up being a single exposure.

Love this image Ron! I’ve always been a fan of moon over mountain shots (Art Wolfe’s got a famous one), and this is spectacular. Like Gowtham, wondering how you handled the exposure.

Wow, I love this! Just enough light and detail on the mountains, and I love the blues balanced by the yellow in the moon.

Here in LA, I was excited for the full moon as well. Here’s the image I got of the Griffith Observatory and the full moon rising:
