Hi Ruth,

That is a tough one as both areas are beautiful. The tidewater glaciers that you visit on what they call the Kenai Fjords National Park Tour tend to be more active when it comes to calving, but this glacier in Northwestern is more dramatic as it drops down the front of a rock face.

You can't go wrong with either one really. Since you are doing the 26 Glacier Tour in PWS, you might do the NW tour in Kenai Fjords. The other tour takes you to Aialik Bay witch has a lot of similarities to the 26 Glacier Tour. The NW tour will look very different.

Ron -- love your photos. My husband & I are planning a trip. We want to see big glaciers. We are doing the Phillips 26 Glacier tour and now are trying to decide between the Kenai Flords National Park or Northwestern Fjord Tour. To see the most-biggest glaciers, which would you recommed.

Thanks Ricard!

It is a crazy place. This is something like a 1,000 foot high (maybe more) rock wall with a glacier flowing out of the Harding Icefield and down the face of the rock wall and into the ocean.
