Orca

Orca

Breaching Orca from Monday.

I would have liked to have been able to compose this a little tighter, but fortunately there was a pretty nice background!

Here are more whale photos.

Just Wow. I’d love to see this larger.

WOW! Great image! I actually like it this way, it shows not only the power and grace of the orca, but also the pristine beauty of the surroundings. Very nice.

Very cool Ron!

You live in an amazing place Ron. I’m so glad there’s someone like you there to go out and capture these stunning images! I’ve never seen an orca picture where it’s so far out of the water like that.

That is cute Ron. Walking on water. Yes, the background is as good as it gets. It screams Pacific NW.

FANTASTIC!

It’s composed plenty tight for me, Ron. Showing this beautiful creature in its habitat is ideal. Nice photograph!

Thanks a lot! I must admit, this was really exciting to watch.

Man, that was more than a pretty nice background. That was magnificent!! Wonderful shot!! One of the best I’ve seen. Gorgeous Orca.

I’m very fortunate to live next to such beauty!

I really like this Ron. Amazing how we were standing next to each other with the same camera and lens and got the same shot. ;)

Gorgeous. I also love the panned-out perspective; you can take in the majesty of the whale and the greater majesty of the environment in one image.

Also, I noticed one of your San Diego images in my web browsing today:

Have a great rest of your trip!

Hi Della,

Thanks for the comment and the link – I hadn’t seen that one!

Thanks,

Ron

This is the definition of sweetness. !

Great timing! After attempting to shoot Humpbacks in Maui earlier in the year I’ve actually found the wider perspective can yield very desirable images. Of course that is dependent on what is in your background. In this case your background adds a lot to the image. Oh and did I mention I’m green with envy? What a great photo.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Hey Ron,

Amazing breach, what a site that must’ve been. Great photo buddy.

Cheers
