  1. Super shot Ron. Even with the reduced size of the print I can see the individual droplets of the spray the way it’s backlit. I’m headed your way this summer for 2 weeks – got my airline tickets & reservations at Tek already. Also want to spend some time at Kenai Fjords NP. I thought about about driving the loop around through Paxson & Glenallen back to Anchorage but read somewhere that the RV renters don’t want you to drive on gravel roads so looks like that’s out. Any suggestions? I’ll be traveling with my non-photographer wife.

    Hi George,

    Thanks!

For some reason my comments are getting split between the big version of the photo, and a smaller version like seen here – I don’t know where these smaller versions are coming from or how anyone is finding them. I’m clearly doing something wrong.

You are right, they probably won’t allow you to drive a rental RV on the road across from Paxon to Cantwell. Another fun option would be to cut over to Whittier, catch the ferry with your RV to Valdez, then drive up to Glennallen and over to Anchorage. That would put you through some amazing country.

Have you seen this write up I did long before I had a blog? http://www.wildnatureimages.com/FAQ%201.htm

You are going to have fun!

  3. I’m getting your “Latest from…” photos via email and clicking on the photo takes me to the blog which has the smaller photo. Thanks for the recommendation on Glenallen and Valdez. I may have seen your write-up before but to be honest, I’ve been poring over all kinds of stuff since July and my brain’s SD card is full and dumping info.
