Last week on the Glacier Bay photo tour we had a wonderful experience with a pod of about 8 orcas. They circled the vessel, and at least one time appeared to swim up to the boat just to check us out! It was such a thrill!
My friend and orca researcher Emma Luck says this is the AF22 pod. This is a fish eating resident pod that is commonly seen in Southeast Alaska.

Superb!
Your image recalls a recent cruise, 3 weeks past, aboard the Samba. We viewed a sibling pair of Orcas transiting south across the Equator along the NW Coast of Isla Isabela (Albermarle). What a delight to relive the experience and appreciate the wonder of nature in our connected oceans through your photography.
Many Thanks, MS
