Palms and Snow

Snow on the mountains rising above Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.

Snow on the mountains rising above Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.

Between a multi hour road closure leaving Seward, below zero temperatures in Alaska, snow and ice in Seattle, and almost an inch of rain in Palm Springs – our travels were interesting, but all in all, went very smoothly.

It seems strange to see palm trees and snow in the mountains surrounding the desert, and it sounds like much more is in store for this area tomorrow.

Wow, snow behind the Hollywood sign!

It rained hard here all night – still is raining hard! Looks like lots of fresh snow by Julian – might try to get up to there today.

Killer! How long are you in SoCal, Ron? Might try to get out that way at some point, not sure yet.

Thanks Laurent!

We are in Borrego until about mid January, and then in a campground over in Newport Beach until about mid February. It would be great to meet you – I have my mountain bike with me, and cold beer in the fridge!
