Resurrection Peaks, Chugach National Forest, Seward, Alaska.

This was captured just a short time ago.  It was a beautiful evening in Seward, fresh snow, nice temps and no wind.  I liked the combination of warm sunset light with the cool blue light in the shadows.

Love the juxtaposition of the warm light versus the cool shadowed areas. Now that Redoubt has gone and blown her cap, we should get some nice sunset colors:) Be safe Ron & take care.

Hi Dave,

Thanks! Hopefully it won’t be too cloudy so that we can take advantage of Redoubt.

I hear ya, I’ve been checking the weather for the western Kenai Peninsula – but there is a long term storm for at least a week. But last time she erupted, the eruptions lasted over 6 months. Luckily, now that I am unemployed… yeah got laid off on Wednesday… it looks like I’ll have some free time:)

Hey David – sorry to hear you got laid off – well maybe sorry, it may turn out to be a giant blessing!

That’s my outlook, this gives me a chance to really push myself. They gave me a severance check, so I figure they are just paying me to pursue my goal:) Life is good!

Beautiful reflections of the sunshine, say, how high is that mountain?

Ron March 24, 2009 at 1:48 pm

Sounds like you have the right attitude Dave!

Thanks P-C,

That mountain is about 5,000 feet high, and since, the base is just above sea-level, that altitude is all mountain.
