As unusual as it was to see snow in the desert as we did in Sedona last week – I find it almost equally unusual to find a river, and yet it really isn’t – there are a number of rivers that flow year around in the Arizona desert.

Nice Ron. I didn’t know that southern Arizona had rivers. Is there enough to whitewater or canoe?

Thanks Richard. I think there is enough for a canoe. I saw some people kayaking on it today. The Verde River behind out campsite definitely has enough to canoe although I don’t know if it is allowed with the Reservation.
