Salton Sea, California.

Salton Sea, California.

These pelican seemed like they were glowing against the pink water thanks to the reflection of this wonderful sunset.

Beautiful pastels. Nice offset with the pelicans. Jade and I weren’t far from you, I’m guessing. We stayed at the Agua Caliente Park on Friday night. We hiked Moonlight canyon Friday, and part of the mountain palm oases Sat. Too bad we couldn’t stay another day.

Great light Ron. It was pretty stormy over on my end so I guess this was the result of that.

Hi Laurent,

Thanks! Yeah, you were pretty close. We are staying in Borrego Springs. How were those hikes? I suppose I will read about them soon on your blog.

Thanks Richard!

Hey Ron, my photography hasn’t been happening so much lately. Hard to keep motivated with no goal sometimes. So I don’t really have images, though I took a couple digitals. The hikes are great. You have to pay a $5 fee for Agua Caliente park. The palm hike is great, though the book description isn’t that good. We made it to 3 of the 6 oases. We simply couldn’t find the trail to take us to the other 3. Email me if you want to know more…

Hi Laurent,

Doesn’t look like I will have time for those hikes this trip, maybe next year.

Having goals or direction can sure make a difference with photography, I think phases like you are experiencing are pretty normal. Hopefully it will pass quickly!
