Thanks Cohnsey!

Hi Beth,

Thanks! La Jolla, that is a nice area.

We don't live in Arizona, we are in the middle of a 2 month photo trip. We live in Seward, Alaska near Kenai Fjords National Park. I grew up out in the Copper River Valley not too far from where Carl is spending much of the winter - that is why we are giving each other a bad time.

There is a lot to explore in the desert - it is beautiful if you look at it right. It also has much nicer weather then Alaska right now!

Thanks,

I hear ya Ron!!I live in Atlanta right now, used to live in La Jolla. The best time to go to the city is definately on a weekend morning, preferably Sunday between 4 & 7am! Great photo! Do you & your wife live in Arizona? The desert can be such a great place to explore. Most people just see dirt. There are many cool things about the desert, I think. Keep up the always great photography!!

Hi Rick,

Actually, I was sound asleep - I wrote it the night before and scheduled it to post 4:00 a.m. Alaska time (8:00 East Coast). I do that sometimes.

Wow Richard, I can see why! That is crazy.

lol Ron. This is the reason why even when I wasn't working a day job, I rarely photographed on the weekday. i live about an hour from Santa Monica in ideal conditions. 2.5 hrs on the weekday...

great shot!

I just noticed the info in the box at the bottom of your post "This entry was posted on Monday, March 31st, 2008 at 4:00 am" - 4am, you better have a good reason for being up that early ;-)

Hi Rick,

Yeah, that is an added benefit of weekends - far fewer cars and people to contend with in the image.

Yeah, I had to laugh at the though of Scottsdale Waterfront. Somehow they were able to take what is basically a storm channel and turn it into extra valuable real estate.

Thanks,

Ron I know how you feel - traffic is not much fun. We get our fair share of traffic here in So. California

I didn't think it was possible to live 100 miles from the nearest stop light - that’s amazing! And I had to laugh when I saw your title to this image "waterfront" and "Scottsdale" - that is a disconnect for me, they just don't seem to go together in the same sentence.

However, very nice image. Maybe it's better on the weekends anyway, less people in the shot.
