I picked up a couple of small pieces of art made of fossilized mammoth ivory that had been carved in Skagway that winter. The highlight for me was touring the South Klondike Highway from Skagway over the White Pass Summit and all the way to Emerald Lake in the Youkon. Absolutely the most incredible scenery I have ever seen. We traveled in a small bus and our guide actually lived in Skagway durning the winter. I pretty much filled my memory card at the photo stops. Every time I browse through those pictures I want to go back. I loved Skagway.
