Hi Carl,

I hope you are right on the cages. Yeah, we are thinking travel and soft adventure publications, they probabably prefer cages. I hadn't thought about gloves. There are some great bike shops here in Moab, maybe we will take a look. We have worn out our tires - need to replace those as well.

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron,

I'd go with gloves .. even just for the photos .. but definitely for comfort riding .. Janine's WAY tougher than me if she rode the trail with no gloves. My bike doesn't leave the road unless I have gloves on my hands ... hell, I'll wear gloves before my helmet, even. I think the cages are fine for the photos . I don't think it'll matter one bit for sell-ability ... and I doubt you're marketing these mountain biking magazines anyway, right? For travel stuff, the cages won't matter at all ... but torn and blistered hands and bleeding fingers won't help sales to AlaskaAir magazine. :)

Have you got any photos of her riding the trail on the back wheel?

Cheers

Thanks Drew!

Hi Carl - yeah, she was able to get both feet in the clips - I think Janine knew you would bust her if she didn't!

Gloves! How about real peddles first.

Thanks,

Hey Ron,

Cool shot .. sorry to hear about the flash troubles though .. bummer.

Maybe you could spend some of the cash you make from all those cover shots (the current AK magazine) to buy your wife some mountain biking gloves so her fingers don't get all chewed up.

Janine, great work with the toe cages. :)

Cheers

Ron,
Too bad this didn't' work for you during the race because I really like the lighting you had set up. Looks naturalish but also kills those harsh shadows. Great work and good work improvising on the real thing.
