Southwestern Barrel Cactus.

Kinda lost in this small size is a wonderful ring of flowers on the top of this cactus.  Captured with a Canon tilt / shift lens.

this makes me ache for the TS lens. those spines look menacingly close.

I really like the light pink of the spines and as Richard said – looks pretty close. Ouch!
