Spring Training Cactus League

Seattle Mariners

I figured I can’t photograph the Phoenix area in spring and not include spring training baseball!

Here are Seattle Mariners signing autographs before a game with San Diego.  The two teams share a facility in Peoria.  It is pretty cool seeing some of the players taking the time to sign so many autographs for the kids at the ballpark.

Quite an interesting shot Ron. Before I read your text, I was thinking what are all those hands reaching through doing? Moms straightening uniforms??? :-)

nice subject to add to your library Ron. did you get any Ichiro shots? I think he’s the most amazing player ever!

Thanks guys! That is funny Mark!

Hi Richard. You know, this was at 500th of a second – it wasn’t a fast enough shutter speed to capture him. :)

Seriously, he is a great player. Unfortunately he wasn’t there this day. The Padres had all their starters, but the Mariner’s starters were heading off to a game in San Francisco.

lol, you need to practice more on hummingbirds then. Since Ichiro has done everything else as a hitter, I’m predicting that he’s going to hit 20+ homers this year. The guy can do whatever he wants w/ the bat so it woudln’t surprise me.

You might be right, he is an amazing player. I was disappointed he wasn’t there this day.
