The Maze, Canyonlands National Park, Utah

The Maze, Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

The Maze, Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

In this aerial view of The Maze, I think it is easy to see why Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were so successful hiding out here.  To this day, this inhospitable region is still considered to be one of the most remote areas in the Lower 48.

You see back in the days Butch Cassidy and the Hole in the Wall Gang hide out here, bank robbers ran from the U.S. Government.  Today, well…

Here are more Canyonlands National Park photos.

Amazing that they could survive out there back in those days. Heck even w/ today’s technology I wouldn’t want to be stuck out there.

Ron: Very cool images you’ve posted from your trip. Looking forward to seeing more.

If they hid out there back in those days, there are bound to be people hiding out in these days, don’t you think? There are always some folks on the run…

Nice did you guys take a plane ride? This and the last post are really cool perspectives. Good work.

Thanks everyone!

Faith, I don’t know if anyone hides out there today – it is hard to believe they were able to hide out there back in those days! Like Richard says, even with today’s technology it would be tough.

Laurent, we did charter a plane in which we could shoot out an open window. It was an amazing flight!
