The Needles, Canyonland National Park

The Needles, Canyonlands National Park, near Moab, Utah.

The open area in the middle of this scene is know as Chesler Park.

We spent 3.5 hours yesterday flying around Southeastern Utah. All I can say is wow! Everywhere I looked there were fascinating places just waiting to be explored – slot canyons, alcoves, buttes and so much more – just cool stuff everywhere.

The Needles District really stood out. I would love to spend some time exploring this fascinating region.

  1. I’ve got a similar shot from when we took a 1-hour air tour over Canyonlands and Arches. I’ve only been back there once since and there’s definitely an enormous amount of places to explore in that area.

Btw, just wanted to say that I checked out your site and absolutely love it! Sorry if you hear this a lot but you’re a huge inspiration! Hope to see you in the field one day.
