Three Gossips, Arches National Park, Utah

Three Gossips, Arches National Park, near Moab, Utah.

I wasn’t in the right position, but as I hiked around Arches National Park Monday morning, I noticed the possibility of capturing the Three Gossips, and the nearly full moon, right at first light.   So I went back Tuesday with this image specifically in mind.  I love the warm light on red rock!

    Thanks!

I didn’t enhance this, it was just the first light of day, although my camera tends to over do reds a bit. My photos from just a couple minutes later lack the warm, rich glow and don’t look nearly as good.

Thanks guys! I thought about making some kind of gossip joke, but thought I would save that for you Gary. 🙂

Hey Bret – we will be here a couple weeks. Maybe this year we can work in a visit, it would be nice to meet you in person!

    Thanks Dennis!

Thanks Carl, you funny guy. The mountain bike is probably with the bear missing in your post today. 🙂

  5. That is just crazy color on the Gossips.
The Moab Photo Symposium occurs in May each year. You might want to mix business with pleasure, get a hold of the organizers to be one of the photographer experts? Or if you want to your business manager/wife to set you up with your own workshop, Moab’s Facility and Event Promoter can lend advice about meeting spaces and permits and such. moabutah dot info has details.
    Tremendous!

Thanks Richard, this isn’t too far into the Park.

Thanks for the information on the Moab Photo Symposium – that is a beautiful meeting facility! Great suggestion!

  7. Beautiful shot Ron. Can’t imagine more perfect light. But …. couldn’t you convince Janine to climb up on top there to be pointing or looking at the moon?
