Treasure Island Pirate Show

Treasure Island Pirate Show

The Pirate Show at Treasure Island, Las Vegas, Nevada.  I didn’t realize pirates dressed like that!   The Pirate Show runs a few times a night every hour and a half at 7:00, 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30.  For free, you can’t beat it.  The fireworks, lights and dancers, it is an elaborate production for a free outdoor show.  It is definitely worth seeing once.  Get there early if you want a good viewing location, and plan on a mob of people when the show is over.

Nice to see the pirate show is back open. It was closed for some reason in December. :-( We had waited around for it too!

Maybe it was too cold given the way the ladies are dressed. lol

I just squinted and saw what you mean. But then again it would have been an even better show if it was cold. :-) I’m surprised TI’s marketing dept hasn’t figured that out yet.

No, I’m sorry. It’s terrible. Cheesy music, stupid dancing, idiotic and bland story. I mean, I know it’s free but so was the original show with the actual Pirate battle. The fire works and the ship sinking was cool, as it always was, but other than that, as a born and raised Las Vegas local, I was thoroughly disappointed and heart broken at what they turned the once epic show that sailed a decade ago.

And I’m not just saying that because I’m one of those people who like the way things “used to be”.

    The show just sucks. :|

BE WARE I just saw the “show” right before New Year’s Eve, for the first time in years. I was MORTIFIED! While I understand that Vegas has its own value system and one should visit with an understanding and appreciation of this fact, the show is all about SEX. SHAME ON YOU TI! Historically a “family friendly” PUBLIC show where families with kids line up to watch they have turned it into a free miny tits and ass show. Fine if you want to do that behind doors where people are aware what they are attending. But not ok to be that lude in public with all those tiny eyes and minds looking up at you. I was really uncomfortable and embarrassed for TI the entire 15 or so mins and I would have walked away if I had not been trapped in a sea of people. I can only say I was grateful my two little girls were not with me cause I would have had a word or two with someone in management there if they had. Go back to basics and provide a fun entertaining family friendly public show and it will get more applause. (hardly any when I was there so I could tell others felt the same as I did)

The garbage allowed on the television is worse for the consumption of children than this harmless, rather amusing cinema verite display. True, one feels somewhat febrile after the pyrothenics display, but there is relief from the water splashing the crowd from the canon ball exchange. It is meant more for an adult audience, unlike the original venue, tailored more for children, but the young people I accompanied throughoughly enjoyed the goings on. It is entertainment and FREE! I am from Las Vegas and I wanted to critique the show for myself and am glad that I did.

I COMPLAINED TO MANAGEMENT RIGHT AFTER THEY CHANGED THE SHOW A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO AND CAN’T BELIEVE THEY HAVEN’T CHANGED IT. IT STILL SUCKS, STILL TRASHY, STILL THE DUMBEST THING ON THE STRIP.
