Whale bones on Jougla point on Wiencke Island, Antarctica.
I understand that this whale didn’t just die here, but this is from a collection of whale bones from around Antarctica and include humpback and blue whale bones.
Maybe I’m a bit strange, but I like bones and have brought some from a doe who died near my back yard up by my ground level bird bath. They are slowly dragged off as they become more bleached and separate from each other. They provide a lot of calcium for mice and other small animals.

I have always thought that a whale skeleton could make an interesting subject; this is certainly very compelling. Nice image, Ron!
