Wild lynx, Denali National Park, Alaska.
This is the same lynx from my post a few days ago – we were able to watch him work this field for a good 15 minutes. He never did catch anything, but still a treat!

Beautiful image. Great composition and I love him in that tawny field. Did you shoot this at f/5.6 ?
Incredible !! A sight like that should keep one happy for life !
Hope i see them someday
My favorite critter! I love the field background; after all the woods and snow ones I have seen this is really an unusual picture.
Looks like he wanted to catch you. Great image Ron. Thanks for sharing.
Ron,
Very fine and subtle color palate , and I like the pattern of the field grass. Focal length?
Thanks a lot everyone!
This was with my Canon 7D, a 70-200 f/2.8 with a 2x converter attached so my exposure was 1/500 of a second at f/5.6 with an ISO of 320.
I really like combination for hand holding while poking around in the woods like in this situation.
Your pictures are incredible! The Denali National Park has plenty of attractions. I have not been for a while but plan to get back next summer.
Thanks!
Such a beautiful setting for a cat like this — awesome shot, Ron!
Thanks Pat!
Wow! Great image!
Thanks Shelley!
Breathtaking. Denali!
Thank you!
