Turnagain Pass

It is always nice to be home.  Especially now, as March can be one of the best times of year in Alaska.  Two months is our longest trip to date, in the past I have typically been on the road for 5 to 6 weeks at the longest.  I don’t think our yellow lab McCarthy even recognized us when we arrived home.  Well, he did.  All in all, it was a great trip.

The temperature change is an adjustment.  It was 97 degrees when we left Palm Springs on Friday, and about 10 below when we past through Turnagain Pass on Saturday morning – a nice 100 degree swing.

This photo is from Turnagain Pass earlier this winter.  Unfortunately the snow has now been blown from the trees, it isn’t nearly as scenic up there right now.
