Janine wrote yesterday of our adventures on the Resurrection Pass Trail, including our close encounter with two Grizzlies. To follow up on her comments, I though I would share an image from our destination, The Juneau Lake Cabin.
This wonderful Chugach National Forest cabin is perched nicely on a knoll overlooking Juneau Lake. As you can see in this photo, the lake is visible out of all the windows – this amazing view would never get old! Also maximizing the view is a large deck straight out the front door.
This is one of a number of cabins on the Resurrection Pass Trail. It is cabins like this that have made this trail one of the most popular backpacking destinations in Alaska. This cabin is located about 10 miles from the South end of the trail at the Sterling Highway near Cooper Landing. The other end of the trail begins in Hope, Alaska.

Thanks.
It would be a great place to hang out with your husband and two dogs! You can find booking information here at Reserve USA. I believe you need to book far in advance.
